Which search glove should you be using?

Tim, Adesanya, Chuck, Ali or Mayweather...?

You throw any greats into the ring and you could argue about who's best...

With Tactical gear we usually don't have that problem because we always aim to represent the absolute best in class.
...but, we ran into a bit of an interesting product that's worthy of fighting in the same ring as our current heavyweight.

When it comes to gloves, they're extremely complex and there's so much more than just finger warmers that slip over your hand sausages.

There are so many different styles with a lof of different uses, from K9, Tactical, search, gauntlets, to everyday station/range gloves...the list goes on...

One of the types of gloves we are extremely passionate about are search gloves.
Here are our, to date, unmatched reigning champions.

So which one is right for you?

All four gloves are fantastic! Why?
Well, there are three main elements when it comes to search gloves...needle protection, slash protection, and dexterity (how well you can move and "feel").
The four all have unique qualities with varying strengths of one of the three attributes that make them exceptional.

Here's how it works.

Needle protection

An ASTM standard rating is used to test how puncture-resistant gloves are.
The higher the rating, the better protection you have against your gloves being punctured.

Cut resistant

An ANSI ISEA cut testing rating is used to show how good the cut-resistant level of a glove is.

Dexterity

This is the biggest one. There's always a pay-off between cut and puncture-resistant and how well you can move and feel with your gloves.

Here's how they line up:

The Verdict

Both brands are exceptional!

In one corner you have the Turtleskins being quick and nimble. They've got a very light feel and your dexterity is exceptional...but then in the other corner you have the heavier set PointGuards which give you that extra protection, with a little less feel.

Four contenders, four different styles....which is your champion?
