Polartec Power Dry Material

The hoody with half-length zipper is a real lightweight with only 325g. This is thanks to the high performance Polartec Power Dry fleece, considered one of the best next-to-skin moisture management fabrics. Polartec fleece is a soft synthetic fabric made of polyester fibers that wick moisture away thanks to an open-knit, air-permeable mesh fabric technology, keeping the sweating body warm, dry and comfortable.

The fibers are hydrophobic and absorb less than 1% water, making it easy to use in light fog or rain. The excellent warmth-to-weight ratio is topped up with unrestricted freedom of movement thanks to the special weave pattern of the fabric: this means that the body-hugging hoody feels like a second skin during all movements.

Zipper and hood

The midlayer's half-zip makes it easy to put on and take off, and also facilitates individual thermoregulation. A chin guard counteracts the obligatory annoying zipper closure and brings comfort.

The hood, which can be worn as such or used as a neck warmer or full face mask for warmth and protection, can also be worn under a helmet thanks to its anatomical fit. Thumbholes keep the sleeves in place and make layering easy.
