The Difference between Civilian Camelbak and Standard Issue Milspec Camelbak
This is Tracey.
She's a veteran running the Rotorua marathon (postponed) in a 5.11 weighted vest for the @NoDuff foundation.
Before the lockdown, she was doing some extreme training.
Check out her Instagram page for the event and give her a follow: @marathonformates
On her first long run out she was having problems with her Camelbak.
Camelbak? That's a bit strange. They are extremely hard-core and used by the world's elite.
Yes, but...Tracey was using a standard civilian Camelbak. They're great and the engineering is good but in order to keep the costs down a lot of the Si (Standard Issue) packs have a lot of their tech pulled out.
So we sent Tracey a Mil-Spec H.A.W.G (Hell of a lot Of Water and Gear) and it got her to not worry about her gear, but the mammoth training instead.
Here's how it went:
Camelbak is synonymous with "made for the elite", so much so that it has been used by a lot of different front-line organisations around the world, for decades.
